Reflections on Venice is our Substack blog with articles, resources and membership tiers.

The blog is about exploring the city with a slow travel lens – whether that is from home, remembering a visit, or as you prepare for a future visit.

In the Piazza – free membership

Palazzo Library member – paid membership

Palazzo Patron – Annual Slow Serenissima Service or Rendezvous about Slow Travel.

You can begin in the Piazza, with free membership, receiving a monthly post and a virtual postcard.

We hope you will enter the Palazzo Library with paid membership ($5 a month) for a fuller membership experience with a weekly post, behind the scenes insights into how we work on Reflections on Venice AND occasional seasonal Palazzo Salons Soirées (a video based presentation) AND the Palazzo Library Archive.

A few people become Palazzo Patrons who support the project and indoing so gain access to Slow Serenissima and a Venice experience designed for you.

The Palazzo Library

The Palazzo Library brings you more of our Venice, while being a Palazzo Patron is about your Venice, and designing an individual experience of the city.

Slow Serenissima experience for Palazzo Patrons

Slow Serenissima is  our  bespoke slow travel planning service for travellers who would like a Venetian day created around their own interests.

We compile ‘your Vista of Venice.”

We work with you to devise a plan which takes into account your interest with practicalities and help you step into your own individual route.

For our small number of Palazzo Patrons, this service is included in their tier of membership.

Others can purchase the service and consult with us to develop an individual Slow Serenissima experience.

More information on Slow Serenissima Service here.

Your Slow Serenissima Portfolio is not a list of sights to collect or a schedule to complete. It is an bespoke plan based around your vision of Venice – and we hope you will find different places which others might miss,

Slow Travel Lens

We think you notice more: the changing light on the water, the sound of bells, a story from the past, a quiet scene that becomes part of your memory of Venice.
