This is a bespoke planning service. We’ll even take into account the speed you prefer to walk, integrate vaporetto or ferry routes into your plan, and whether you wish to brave the crowds some of the time, or prefer a total slow travel experience.
This service is for travellers seeking a more individual way of experiencing Venice. We meet, listen for the Venice you are hoping to encounter, then create an itinerary enabling you to experience the city differently.
We compose a day shaped around your interests with a focus on stories, places and atmosphere.

What is Slow Serenissima?
Personal Venice planning for travellers who want to visit the main sites, alongside discovering hidden corners and a different atmosphere.
“Slow Serenissima” is a bespoke Venice itinerary, created from a questionnaire and rendezvous. This is creating a day with a difference which works for you, at your own pace.
There are two levels in our Serenissima slow travel service:
Palazzo Portfolio
an itinerary curated plan from our ready prepared resources (interactive walks and Sestiere guides).
Slow Serenissima Portfolio
A very individual itinerary …. bespoke … think of it as an artisanal crafted plan

- Slow Serenissima service creates a day, or days, for you to explore Venice.
It’s about finding out what you hope to do on your break and putting an itinerary together.
It is based on a brief questionnaire (or voice notes if you prefer) and online meeting to find out more about your hopes and dreams.
Your Venetian Vista
We start by compiling your Venetian Vista. This is a document describing your vision for your day, based on the questionnaire and conversation with added suggestions from us to enhance the experience.
You can think of it as a summary – but we call it your Venetian Vista.
We give you ideas for how you can make this a holiday where you don’t miss anything …. Yet stll have that Slow Travel Lens as you look at the sites, and hidden corners.
Then we create your individual Slow Serenissima Portfolio, with slow travel notes and a route for the day.
We think of it as your Slow Serenissima Experience, but plan a route, in the style of an interactive mini guide book devised for you explains it very well.
The finished Portfolio
As you embark on your journey to Venice you have your notebook – an interactive guide (Heyzine) – a PDF document and a google map for your phone.
We use a variety of formats for the portfolio – we like a Heyzine interactive booklet as it works so well on a smartphone screen, and allows us to insert audio and video clips as appropriate but you always have an accompanying document (pdf) for reference.
Alternatively we can provide the portfolio in other formats should you wish. We can even make your portfolio as a short video, describing your day rather than writing it down.

The 6 Step Process
We have a simple six-stage process we work through together to develop your day exploring the city.
- You register interest
- You complete a questionnaire or voice notes if preferred
- We meet for an online rendezvous
- Your Venice Vista (summary) is prepared
- You check to make sure the Vista works for you
- We compile your Slow Serenissima Portfolio;
Pricing
Palazzo Portfolio is available from $95
Slow Serenissima bespoke is available either as
part of a Palazzo Patron Subscription OR as a standalone purchase.
Standalone price from $250;
If you would like several days, or a half day then get in touch – it is perfectly possible.
Slow Serenissima is included in our Palazzo Patron membership – $200 a year.
