Remembering Mindful Moments
Remember all your Momento di Mindfulness, those Mindful Moments in Venice and choose your favourite. Reflections on daily experience really do strengthen memories. Throughout ‘Exploring Venice’ you’ve been working on developing your individual mental memory store. With the multi-sensory focus and by taking mindfulness ‘out and about’ with you on walks and boat rides you should have added strength and depth to your mindfulness practice.

‘One Last Look’
I always take ‘one last look’ wherever I visit. It’s almost a transitional closure. I take a breath and focus on where I’m going next.
Remember if you have a long and tedious journey that you can reduce the reactive irritability of waiting in queues by utilising some of your learning in the Mindful Moments. Adjust your attitude to waiting, accept you have little influence over these things. Take an opportunity to breathe, observe and notice life around you.
One Last Look & Say Farewell for Now
“And if travel is like love, it is, in the end, mostly because it’s a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, in dimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end.”
Pico Iyer
